Early Times Report RAJOURI, Nov 20: The Indian Army organized a Swachh Bharat Abhiyan campaign at Samote, aiming to promote a clean and healthy lifestyle in society. The initiative raised awareness among soldiers about the importance of cleanliness in their environment and its impact on health and well-being. The campaign highlighted the link between cleanliness and a healthy society, emphasizing better waste management, improved sanitation, and personal hygiene. Soldiers were educated on health problems related to waste disposal, unhygienic living conditions, sewage issues, and personal hygiene. Following the awareness drive, a cleanliness initiative was conducted to clean the unit area and surroundings. Approximately 171 Indian Army persons participated enthusiastically, demonstrating their commitment to a healthier environment. The event culminated with all participants taking a pledge to maintain cleanliness in their lines, surrounding areas, and countryside.
