Early Times Report REASI, Nov 20: The JKSPYM State Level Coordinating Agency (SLCA), in collaboration with NISD, Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India, and the District Administration Reasi, organized a one-day Certificate Training Program for Master-Volunteers of Reasi district under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA) at the Conference Hall, DC Office, Reasi. The event was attended by 50 Master-volunteers. The training commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Pallavi Singh, Program Director at JKSPYM, who introduced the organization and its objectives. In his keynote address, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO) Sachin Sharma emphasized the urgency of combating substance abuse, which is a growing concern in Jammu and Kashmir. He encouraged the volunteers to absorb as much knowledge as possible to tackle this challenge effectively. The program included key sessions on: Overview of the District-Level Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan Understanding the use and consequences of drugs Intervention strategies for drug treatment and prevention Roles and responsibilities of Master-Volunteers under NMBA Basic Counseling Skills The resource persons from SLCA delivered detailed presentations on drug abuse trends in India, followed by interactive discussions and group activities to engage the participants.
