Early Times Report SAMBA, Dec 7: In an ongoing crackdown against illegal mining, J&K Police in Samba seized five vehicles, including two excavators, two dumpers, and a tractor trolley, used for unauthorized transportation and extraction of construction material. The operation was conducted in the jurisdictions of Police Stations Bari Brahmana and Ramgarh. Police teams, led by SHO Bari Brahmana and SHO Ramgarh, under the supervision of ASP SDPO Bari Brahmana and SDPO Vijaypur, and overall guidance of SSP Samba, carried out patrolling duties resulting in the seizures. The confiscated vehicles include: Two excavators (JCB) bearing registration No. JK02BX-8389 and another without a registration number. Two dumpers with registration Nos. JK21J-6888 and JK21H-5080. One tractor trolley with registration No. PB06AZ-9277. The vehicles have been handed over to the Geology & Mining Department, Samba, for further legal proceedings. This action highlights the police's commitment to curbing illegal mining activities in the district. |
