Udhampur, Dec 7: The District Police Udhampur has successfully foiled a bovine smuggling attempt, rescuing two bovines in the jurisdiction of Police Station Udhampur.
The smuggling attempt was intercepted by a police team led by the SHO of PS Udhampur. The vehicle, bearing registration number JK19A-2168, was en route to the Kashmir valley without valid permission. However, the driver fled from the spot upon being intercepted.
Both rescued bovines have been shifted to a safe location. An FIR (No. 488/2024) under relevant legal provisions has been registered at Police Station Udhampur, and further investigation is ongoing. |
