Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Dec 10: Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur, in collaboration with the Social Welfare Department, Samba, conducted a significant awareness program on the "Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (POSH Act)." Under the guidance of Principal Dr. Vandana Verma, the event aimed to educate faculty and students on creating a safe and respectful work environment for women. Welcome Address: The program began with Prof. Poonam Kundan, Head of Environmental Sciences, emphasizing the need for awareness about workplace harassment and women's rights. Key Sessions: Ms. Arti Sharma, Center Administrator, explained the provisions of the POSH Act and its role in empowering women with legal recourse against workplace harassment. Ms. Qazi Insha Shakeel, Counselor from the Sakhi One Stop Centre, detailed the support services available for women in distress, including legal, medical, and psychological assistance.
