Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 10: The 33rd Union Territory Level Security Committee (UTLSC) meeting for the Union Territory of Jammu & Kashmir was held on December 10, 2024, at 11:30 AM at Hotel Radisson Blu, Jammu. The meeting was chaired by Shri Chandraker Bharti, IAS, Principal Secretary, Home Department, UT of J&K, and supported by Shri Chandrashekhar Azad, Regional Director, Reserve Bank of India, UT of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh. Key officials present at the meeting included: Anand Jain, IPS, ADGP, Jammu Dr. Sunil Gupta, IPS, IGP, JKP Crime, Jammu Liaqat Ali, SSP, JKP Kashmir Manoj Kumar Yadav, Assistant Commandant, CISF, Jammu Airport Ravindra Kumar Gupta, DGM, SBI Rafi Ahmed Mir, DGM, JKB Vibha Gupta, DGM, RBI Senior officials from government departments, commercial banks, BSNL, the Airport Authority, and Air India also participated. The meeting focused on key security issues, including: Security movement of treasure and arrangements for guarding Currency Chests. Renewal of gun licenses. Use of cassette swaps in ATMs by banks. Frisking protocols for bank staff. Review and functioning of security gadgets. Addressing the problem of attacks and thefts in ATMs. Training for detection of FICNs (Fake Indian Currency Notes). The deliberations aimed at improving security measures, strengthening ATM operations, and enhancing coordination between security agencies and financial institutions in the region. |
