| Kathua Police raid pharmacy, seize huge quantity of banned drugs | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Dec 10: A special team of Kathua Police conducted a raid at Malgotra Pharmacy in Chhan Rorian, leading to the seizure of a significant quantity of banned drugs. The raid, carried out under the supervision of senior officers, resulted in the recovery of the following substances:
• 675 tablets of Tapentadol (Exhibit-B)
• 274 tablets of Alprazolam
• 80 Neurotram capsules (Exhibit-D)
• 156 Pregabalin capsules
The pharmacy owner, identified as Munish Gupta, son of Madan Lal, a resident of Chhan Rorian, Tehsil Marheen, District Kathua, was found in possession of these contraband drugs. The seized items were handed over to Police Station Rajbagh for further investigation.
A case has been registered under FIR No. 255/2024 under sections 8/21/22 of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. The police have launched an investigation to determine the source of these banned substances and any potential links to larger drug networks.
