MARH, Dec 20: GDC Marh in collaboration with SBI organized one day awareness programme on Social Security Scheme for the college faculty, students and staff and shared its different technicalities associated with the processing of the same under the guidance of the worthy Principal Prof (Dr.) Rakesh Kumar Koul.
In the opening remarks principal of the college appreciated the initiative taken by the SBI personnel for organizing the camp for the welfare of the staff and the students and introducing them with various government schemes and loan facilities. He also emphasized on the significance of financial Literacy, financial freedom and need of becoming rich by increasing self employment among the youth of the nation. The officials from SBI who were the resource person for the awareness programme were Mr. Ramesh Raina (Financial Literacy Counceller), Mr.Gourav Kumar (RDS), Rakesh Sharma(CSP) and Ravi Bhagat(CSP,State Head,VEDAVAJ). Ramesh Raina threw light on various government schemes, loan facilities for self employment, ATAL Pension Scheme for the age group of 18 to 40 years people and Online frauds. He also acquainted audience about all the ways to safeguard themselves from various types of cyber crimes . One of the significant outcome of the camp was that the students and faculty showed interest in opening online zero balance account with 2 lakh insurance and accounts were opened wherein ATM cards and passbook were also on spot given to them in college conference room. The whole programme was coordinatd by Dr. Ashu Jolly,Dr. Sheetal Devi, Prof. Schin Bhagat and other members of the cultural Committee. Refreshment was given to all the participants and a cup of tea was served to the guests and the faculty. The formal vote of thanks was given by Prof. Sachin Bhagat (HOD Political Science).
