Srinagar, Dec 20: The Jammu and Kashmir Medical Council has issued notice to private healthcare establishments, cautioning against employing unregistered medical practitioners. The council, according to a Srinagar based news agency, emphasized that allowing doctors without proper registration to practice is a violation of the rules, professional ethics, and the code of conduct. The Council in a formal notice has stated that it has come to the notice of the J&K Medical Council that private hospitals/nursing homes/diagnostic centres/clinical laboratories/blood banks located in Jammu and Kashmir are allowing some practitioners to operate without having registration with the J&K Medical Council, which is against the rules."
