Desh Bhagat Dental College hosts white coat ceremony for batch 2024

MANDI GOBINDGARH, Dec 20: Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital organized a prestigious White Coat Ceremony to formally induct the newly admitted Batch of 2024 into the medical fraternity.
The Chief Guest for the ceremony was the Honorable Dr. Puneet Girdhar, Joint Director of Research and Medical Education (DRME) and Registrar of the Punjab Dental Council. Joining him as the Guest of Honour was Dr. Anu Girdhar, National President of the Women Dental Council.
The ceremony commenced with the felicitation of dignitaries, including the esteemed Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh, and Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Tajinder Kaur, whose gracious presence elevated the event. Other notable attendees included Dr. Sandeep Singh (President), Dr. Abhijeet Joshi (Vice Chancellor), Dr. Harsh Sadawarti (Vice President), Dr. Sunil Malhan (Dean Academics), and Dr. Vikram Bali (Principal). To seek divine blessings, a lamp-lighting ceremony marked the start of the event. Following this, the first-year students were adorned with their white coats by the dignitaries and faculty members.
In his remarkable adress Dr. Puneet Girdhar said that The White Coat Ceremony at Desh Bhagat Dental College & Hospital is a proud and inspiring occasion, setting the stage for the new batch to embark on their academic and professional journey with a sense of purpose and commitment.
Chancellor, Dr. Zora Singh said that this ceremony, a symbolic tradition in the medical field, marked the beginning of the students' journey as healthcare professionals, highlighting the significance of the white coat as a symbol of responsibility, ethics, and professionalism.
An Oath-Taking Ceremony was also conducted, where the students of Batch 2024 pledged to uphold the ethical and professional standards of the medical fraternity. This oath reinforced their dedication to the responsibilities and values that come with being a healthcare professional.
The ceremony concluded with a heartfelt vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Ajitpal Singh, Professor and Head of the Department of Anatomy.
