Jammu, Dec 22: The Youth Commission Diocese of Jammu-Srinagar, in collaboration with SIBA Event Management & Innovations Cooperatives, successfully conducted a Free Multi-Speciality Health Checkup Camp at St. Mary’s Garrison Church, Gandhinagar, Jammu. The initiative aimed to provide essential medical services to underprivileged, marginalized, and slum-dwelling communities in the region. The event witnessed the presence of Rt. Rev. Bishop Ivan Albert Pereira, Bishop of Jammu-Srinagar, who expressed gratitude to the team of doctors and healthcare professionals for their dedicated service. Rev. Fr. Sebastian Nagthunkal, Vicar General, honored the participating doctors from prominent hospitals in Jammu by presenting them with saplings as a token of appreciation. The camp offered consultations across a variety of medical specialities, including: • General Medicine • Cardiology • Orthopedics • Gynecology • Pediatrics • Physiotherapy • Eye Checkups • Dental Care • Oncology • Endocrinology • General Health Checkups (BP and Sugar levels) Free medicines were distributed to patients in need, ensuring healthcare access for all. Jafat Masih, Director of the Youth Commission, expressed sincere thanks to the participating doctors, youth volunteers, and healthcare workers for their invaluable contributions. Special recognition was given to Vikrant Dogra, Chairman of the Jammu-Kashmir Dairy Cooperative Federation (JKDCF), for his generous support. Contributions from Mr. Sidharth, Mr. Baljeet, Mr. Anil Gill (Senior Lab Technician), Mr. Bunty Gill (Youth Animator), and Mr. Aron Singh (Youth President) were also highlighted for their pivotal roles in making the event a success. The health camp reflects the Youth Commission’s ongoing efforts to uplift underserved communities by ensuring access to quality healthcare.
