Absconder arrested after evading arrest for over a year | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Dec 22: In a significant breakthrough in its campaign against absconders and criminals, Jammu’s Nowabad Police apprehended an absconder who had been evading arrest for the past one and a half years. The accused, identified as Jamal Din, son of Fazal Din, a resident of Belicharana, Nikki Tawi, Jammu, was wanted in connection with FIR No. 151/2023 under Section 420 of the IPC registered at Police Station Nowabad. Jamal Din had been eluding law enforcement by frequently changing his locations and SIM cards. Acting on precise human intelligence and after persistent efforts, a police team from Nowabad Police Station, led by ASI Mumtaz Ahmed and supervised by SHO Inspector Deepak Pathania, raided a location in Ramban with the support of Ramban Police. The operation was further overseen by DySP Headquarters Ashok Kumar and SP City North Jammu Vivek Shekhar. The accused was apprehended and subsequently produced before the Hon’ble Court of Law after completing all necessary legal formalities. This arrest underscores Jammu Police’s unwavering commitment to ensuring public safety and its proactive approach to tackling crime by swiftly bringing offenders to justice. |
