AICTE ATAL FDP on Green Hydrogen concludes at SMVDU Katra | | | Early Times Report KATRA, Dec 28: A week-long Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on "Green Hydrogen Generation and Opportunities in India," sponsored by AICTE ATAL, concluded at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra. The virtual event registered 215 participants from 21 states across India. The valedictory ceremony commenced with a welcome address by Prof. (Dr.) Eswaramoorthy Muthusamy, the programme coordinator. Prof. R. Velraj, Former Vice Chancellor of Anna University, Chennai, graced the event as the chief guest and highlighted solar hydrogen's potential as a future fuel competing with electric vehicles (EVs). Prof. Mamdud Hossain from Robert Gordon University, U.K., the guest of honor, underscored the global market prospects of green hydrogen for achieving sustainable development goals. He also expressed interest in collaborative research in the field. The event was also attended by Prof. R.K. Mishra, Dean of Students Welfare, and Prof. Balbir Singh, Dean of Academic Affairs, who congratulated the organizers for the successful programme. The FDP featured 13 technical sessions led by 11 Indian experts and one international expert from the U.K. Speakers praised the initiative, emphasizing the role of such programmes in strengthening the nation's energy sector. The valedictory ceremony, anchored by Ms. Parasu Pravallika, concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Rajiv Kumar, the co-coordinator of the programme. |
