Early Times Report RAJOURI, Dec 28: A one-day awareness and sensitization programme on intergenerational bonding was held at Cypress Kids Scholars Institute of Education, Sasalkote (Doongi), organized by the Human Organisation for Patronisation of Environment (HOPE) with support from the National Institute of Social Defence, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India. The event aimed to strengthen connections between senior citizens and younger generations, fostering respect, understanding, and emotional well-being. Sessions led by renowned resource persons, including Mr. Minkle Kumar, Principal Vikey Kumar, Sonika Sharma, and others, highlighted the importance of nurturing these bonds for societal harmony. Attendees, including students, teachers, and senior citizens, actively engaged in discussions and shared ideas to bridge the generational gap. To recognize and encourage participation, prizes were distributed by HOPE to enthusiastic contributors. The event concluded with a collective pledge to uphold the dignity of senior citizens and promote intergenerational harmony, leaving a meaningful impact on participants. |
