| J&K police CCIU Doda recovers 45 Smartphones | | |  Early Times Report
DODA, Dec 28: The Cyber Crime Investigation Unit (CCIU) of Doda Police successfully traced and recovered 45 missing smartphones valued at approximately ?8,40,090. The recovery was made with the assistance of the CEIR Portal and the Electronic Surveillance Unit (ESU) Doda, after receiving complaints from the public.
The recovered phones, located in states such as Rajasthan, Punjab, Delhi, Maharashtra, and Uttar Pradesh, were handed over to their rightful owners by SSP Doda Sandeep Kumar Mehta (JKPS) during a ceremony at the District Police Office in Doda.
Expressing their gratitude, the recipients commended the Doda Police for their diligent efforts in retrieving their devices. SSP Doda highlighted the significance of protecting mobile phones, emphasizing their role in storing personal and sensitive data. He also urged the public to promptly report missing phones to the nearest police station and update information on the CEIR Portal to prevent potential misuse by anti-national elements.
This initiative reinforces the Doda Police's commitment to addressing public grievances and safeguarding citizens' interests. |
