Jammu, Dec 29: A one-day awareness and sensitization programme on promoting intergenerational bonding was successfully conducted at IQRA Public School Behrote. Organized by the Human Organisation for Patronisation of Environment (HOPE) and supported by the National Institute of Social Defence under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, the event aimed to strengthen the relationship between senior citizens and younger generations. The programme featured renowned resource persons, including Mr. Minkle Kumar, Principal of IQRA Public School, and judges Davinder Kumar, Liaquiet Ali, Aliyba Malik, Savita Sharma, and Mr. Suraj Bali, who delivered insightful sessions on the importance of intergenerational bonds in creating a cohesive society. Students, teachers, and senior citizens actively participated in the event, sharing their experiences and ideas to bridge the generational gap. HOPE also distributed prizes to participants in recognition of their enthusiasm and contributions. The event concluded with a pledge to uphold the dignity of senior citizens and promote harmony among generations, leaving a lasting impact on all participants. |
