Srinagar, Dec 29: A video of a man from South Kashmir accusing a MLA of “abandoning” his constituency amidst heavy snowfall has gone viral on the social media. A pheran (Kashmiri gown) clad angry man is seen criticizing a senior Congress leader for abandoning his constituency when the electorate needed him. “We voted for you and ensured that you get a salary. Instead of being with us in this snowfall you are sitting in Delhi,” the man is heard saying. He further goes on to say that no one has come to clear the snow even after 24-hours. “During Lieutenant Governor’s and PM Modi’s rule we had heaved a sigh of relief. The snowfall led to normal life in Kashmir getting paralyzed. Chief Minister Omar Abdullah was the first among the MLAs to visit Ganderbal i.e. his own constituency. He took stock of the situation and chaired a review meeting of all the J&K district heads through video-conferencing from the office of Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal. |
