Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 1: NCC Cadet Senior Under Officer (SUO) Dhruv Sharma of NCC Directorate Jammu, Kashmir, and Ladakh successfully represented India at the prestigious Youth Exchange Programme (YEP) held in Bhutan from December 12 to December 18, 2024. A student of Govt. SPMR College of Commerce, Jammu, and a member of 2 J&K Battalion NCC, Dhruv showcased exceptional dedication and leadership. The YEP, an esteemed NCC initiative, promotes global cultural exchange, leadership development, and international relations. Cadets from various countries participated, fostering diplomacy and teamwork. Dhruv earned his place after rigorous selection processes, including examinations, drill tests, and group discussions held at the national level in Jammu and Delhi. Prior to this, he represented the JK&L Directorate at the Republic Day Camp 2024 in New Delhi. The 12-member Indian delegation to Bhutan was led by Major Anand and Major Hricha. Reflecting on his experience, Dhruv said, "The programme was thrilling, and the warmth of the Bhutanese people made it unforgettable. Representing India on an international stage was a proud moment." Principal Dr. Rajinder Singh lauded Dhruv's achievement, encouraging other students to seize opportunities provided by NCC for personal and professional growth.
