NC confident of reinstating Dec 5, July 13 as holidays | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Jan 1: Although the Union Territory administration has not dropped any hint to change the list of holidays for 2025, leaders of the ruling National Conference are confident that they will restore holidays on December 5 and July 13. After Nasir Aslam Wani, Chief Minister Omar Abdullah’s advisor, announced that December 5 would soon be declared a public holiday, the ruling National Conference (NC) reaffirmed its commitment to also reinstate July 13 as a holiday. Both dates, central to Jammu and Kashmir’s history, were excluded from the Union Territory administration's official holiday list, sparking significant political controversy.
