Early Times Report SAMBA, Jan 1: In a proactive step against drug abuse, Samba Police organized anti-drug awareness programmes at Govt. Girls Middle School (GGMS) Chack Manga Rakwal and Govt. Middle School (GMS) Badla Brahmana. These initiatives aimed to educate students about the harmful effects of drugs and involved active participation from students, teachers, and school management. The event at GGMS Chack Manga Rakwal, conducted under the Civic Action Programme (CAP) and presided over by SHO PS Samba, saw participation from eight students. Top performers were rewarded with cash prizes of Rs. 10,000, Rs. 6,000, and Rs. 4,000 for first, second, and third places, respectively. Five other participants received consolation prizes of Rs. 2,000 each. Similarly, the programme at GMS Badla Brahmana involved students from multiple schools, including GMS Dhora, GHS Sarain, GMS Chilla Danga, and GPS Teri. Cash prizes were awarded to the top three performers and consolation prizes were distributed among other participants. The school management and attendees praised the efforts of J&K Police in raising awareness and promoting a drug-free society through such impactful initiatives. |
