Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 2: In a significant move under Operation Kamdhenu, Jammu Police foiled a bovine smuggling attempt in Sub-division Nagrota. Acting on specific information, a police team from Police Post Sidhra intercepted a Mahindra vehicle (Registration No. JK03N/4932) at Tawi Bridge Sidhra during the night hours. The vehicle, heading from Narwal towards Udhampur, was found to be transporting five bovines illegally. The driver fled the scene, taking advantage of the darkness. The police rescued all five bovines and seized the vehicle. A case has been registered under FIR No. 01/2025 U/S 223/BNS, 11 PCA Act at Police Station Nagrota, and further investigation is underway. The local public has lauded Jammu Police for its strict and effective actions against bovine smugglers, reinforcing trust in the law enforcement agency's commitment to curbing such illegal activities. |
