Early Times Report DODA, Jan 2: In a swift and effective operation, Doda Police successfully solved a theft case within 24 hours and arrested two juveniles involved in the crime. The case revolved around the theft of a significant amount of cash from a temple near the Government Medical College, Ghat Doda. On January 1, 2025, a complaint was filed by Ajay Kumar, a resident of Ghat Doda, reporting that cash had been stolen after the lock of the temple was broken open during the night of December 31, 2024. A case, FIR No. 01/2025 U/S 305/331(3) BNS, was registered at Police Station Doda, and investigations began immediately. Under the leadership of SSP Doda Sandeep Mehta, a special team was formed, led by Inspector Parvaiz Ahmed Khanday, SHO PS Doda. The team utilized human intelligence and technical assistance, rounding up several suspects for questioning. During the investigation, two juveniles (names withheld) confessed to their involvement in the theft. The stolen cash, amounting to ?13,550, was recovered from their possession. The investigation is ongoing, with authorities continuing their efforts to ensure justice. The prompt action by Doda Police has been appreciated by the local community. |
