Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 2: In a continued crackdown on bovine smuggling under Operation Kamdhenu, the Jammu Police, led by SSP Jammu Sh. Joginder Singh (JKPS), apprehended a notorious bovine smuggler from the Nagrota area and booked him under the Jammu and Kashmir Public Safety Act (PSA). The accused, Zakir Hussain, son of Abdul Karim, resident of Khanpur, Nagrota, has been repeatedly involved in bovine smuggling, causing distress within the community. Multiple FIRs have been registered against him across various police stations in Jammu and neighboring districts. This action follows the execution of two PSA warrants in Nagrota subdivision the previous day and underscores the police's commitment to maintaining peace and harmony. In 2024, four PSA cases were filed against bovine smugglers, and one under the PIT NDPS Act, demonstrating the administration's resolve.
