Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 4: The J&K High Court Bar Association, Jammu (JKHCBAJ), held a press conference today, strongly condemning the life-threatening attack on Advocate Kanav Sharma at New Plot, Jammu, on January 3, 2025. Addressing the media, K. Nirmal Kotwal, President of JKHCBAJ, demanded strict measures to ensure the safety of advocates and the public. He urged the police and administration to act promptly in safeguarding lives and addressing such incidents effectively. Kotwal expressed gratitude to the police and medical teams for their swift action in apprehending the culprits and saving the advocate's life. In solidarity with the incident, a shutdown of work was observed across all courts in Jammu Province. The association also extended thanks to Bar Associations of Kathua, Samba, R.S. Pura, Akhnoor, Bishnah, Udhampur, Reasi, Doda, Kishtwar, Ramban, Poonch, and Rajouri for their unified support against rising crimes targeting advocates and the public. |
