Indian Army organised coaching classes | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, Jan 4: Indian Army has always been in the forefront to propagate the importance of education amongst the AWAM and in this series Indian Army at Samote organised coaching classes for Gujjar and Bakarwal Children in the higher reaches areas of Rajouri District. Dera Migration commence with the onset of summers when the Gujjar and Bakarwals move to the higher reaches of Pir Panjal Range in search of the greener pastures for their livestock. The family moves along with its livestock, locally known as Dera including children. Due to the migratory pattern of these families, the prime sufferers are the children who have to remain absent from their schools for six to eight months. Considering their difficulties, Indian Army at Samote organised coaching classes for these children at higher reaches of Pir Panjal Range. These classes were aimed at ensuring no loss of studies to these children of Gujjar & Bakarwals during migratory season. Around 65 children were benefited by this initiative through which it is ensured that children of these regions have access to education and regain their interest in studies. The civil administration has acknowledged this exceptional inventiveness and conveyed their appreciation for the wholehearted efforts of Indian Army, which is bound to yield result and assist the young children in quest of a bright and better future in the present competitive world. |
