Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Jan 4: In a major breakthrough, J&K Police in District Kishtwar successfully cracked a case of gas cylinder burglaries in Kishtwar town and arrested the accused involved in the crime. SSP Kishtwar, Sh. Javaid Iqbal Mir-JKPS, while stated that Police Station Kishtwar had received multiple complaints regarding the theft of gas cylinders. Acting on these complaints, a team led by IC PP Hidyal was constituted under the supervision of DySP Headquarters Kishtwar Dr. Ishan Gupta-JKPS to investigate the matter. The investigation team use advanced methods, including evidence collection, analysis of CCTV footage, and the use of technical tools. This rigorous effort led to the arrest of the main accused, identified as Arshad Hussain, son of Abdul Wahid, resident of Gourian. Stolen property, including gas cylinders, was recovered from his possession. A case, FIR No. 05/2025, under sections 305/331(3) BNS, has been registered at Police Station Kishtwar, and further investigation is underway. SSP Kishtwar issued a stern warning to individuals involved in such illegal activities, urging them to abandon their criminal paths and return to the mainstream. He further warned that those attempting burglaries in the future will face strict action under the law. |
