Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 6: Under the new initiative "Chai with Cop," SHO Janipur, Inspector Vikram Sharma, hosted an interactive session with prominent members of the locality at Police Station Janipur. The program, initiated by SDPO City West, aims to foster better coordination and enhance the free flow of information regarding cognizable activities within the jurisdiction. The meeting was attended by key community representatives, including Ganesh Dutt Sharma, Ashok Babbar (Vice President), Raman Bakshi (Chairman), Ramesh Chander Bali (President, Janipur Market Association), Vikshyat Vaid (Secretary), Vishal Verma, and Gurnam Singh (NC Block President). Participants raised issues such as inadequate street lighting in areas prone to drug and alcohol abuse, evening traffic congestion, and the need for enhanced police-public cooperation to combat the drug menace. SHO Janipur thanked the attendees for their active participation and urged them to remain vigilant about security concerns, especially with Republic Day approaching. He emphasized the importance of timely reporting of crimes and grievances, stressing that law-abiding citizens are the "eyes and ears" of the police.
