Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 7: Continuing its relentless efforts under Operation Sanjeevani to combat drug trafficking and substance abuse, Jammu Police apprehended a drug peddler and seized 3.08 grams of heroin-like substance in the jurisdiction of Police Station R.S. Pura. A police team led by the Station House Officer (SHO) of Police Station R.S. Pura, during routine patrolling near BPP Chakroi, intercepted a suspicious individual. Upon searching the suspect, identified as Naresh Kumar alias Kutti, son of Sat Pal, resident of Chakroi near Bus Stand, Tehsil Suchetgarh, District Jammu, police recovered the illicit substance. A case has been registered under FIR No. 02/2025 under Sections 8/21/22 of the NDPS Act at Police Station R.S. Pura. The accused has been taken into custody, and further investigation is underway to identify any links to larger drug networks. Jammu Police remains steadfast in its mission to eradicate drug-related activities and urges the public to assist by reporting suspicious activities. The identity of informants will be kept strictly confidential to encourage greater community involvement.
