Jammu police cracks down on illegal mining, detains four vehicles | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 8: In a decisive crackdown on illegal mining, Jammu Police detained four vehicles loaded with unauthorized mining material during surprise operations conducted across the rural areas of Jammu district in recent days. The operations, led by various police units, resulted in the following detentions: BPP Sandwan: One dumper (JK08K/8007) carrying illegal mining material without Form-A. BPP Gajansoo: One tipper (JK02DH-8449) loaded with sand, lacking the required documentation. PP Pounichak: One tractor trolley (JK02CX/5356) involved in illegal mining activities. PP Sidhra: One tractor (JK02DA/8055) carrying Bajri without Form-A. The District Mining Officer has been informed for further legal action against the violators. SP Rural Jammu emphasized that Jammu Police is committed to safeguarding public resources and eradicating the menace of illegal mining in the region. Strict actions will continue against those who exploit public resources unlawfully. |
