Early Times Report THANNAMANDI, Jan 10: As part of the ongoing 7-Day NSS Special Winter Camp, the NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Thannamandi conducted a series of outreach activities at Lah with a focus on community service and awareness. On Day 3 of 7 -day NSS camp being organized under the patronage of College Principal Prof. (Dr.) Farooq Ahmed, the NSS volunteers led by NSS Programme Officer Prof. Supriya Gupta conducted a cleanliness drive at Lah Bawli, a nearby freshwater resource, aiming to preserve the natural beauty and maintain the water quality. The volunteers actively participated in cleaning the area, spreading awareness about the importance of conservation. In addition, the NSS team organized an awareness program at Government Middle School, Lah, where they interacted with students on crucial topics such as cleaning, pollution, and environmental conservation. The volunteers emphasized the significance of adopting eco-friendly practices and encouraged the students to become responsible citizens. These outreach activities led by Prof. Supriya Gupta along with Paramvir Singh and Sugara Jabeen were aimed to foster community service, social awareness, and personality development among the volunteers. |
