JAMMU, Jan 10: To acknowledge the achievements of deserving doctors of the medical community, Peoples Hut Foundation in collaboration with Diva International Foundation organised the First Edition of Vishisht Swasthya Sewa Sammaan Puruskar 2024 in Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir's leading National NGO People's Hut Foundation announced the awardees of 'Vishisht Swasthya Sewa Sammaan Puruskar 2024' at GMC Jammu. An impressive gathering comprising who's who of the healthcare industry besides distinguished guests witnessed the Awards ceremony held in Jammu.
The People's Hut Foundation organised the star-studded award ceremony to celebrate the merit of deserving professionals as well as give due regard to the values and morals which these distinguished awardees exemplify, such as care, compassion and empathy for their patients and also showcased the commitment that the healthcare achievers. As awards are a great way to encourage excellence, People's Hut Foundation in collaboration with Diva International Foundation organised these prestigious awards to acknowledge the good work being done in the field of healthcare. The winners of the event have not only made their profession proud, but brought accolades to the nation at the global level.
The ceremony was graced by Dr. Ashotosh Gupta, Principal and Dean Government Medical College Jammu as the Chief Guest, Dr. A.S Bhatia, Principal Government College Rajouri and Controller of Examination, J&K Paramedical Council as the Guest of Honour.
The event began with a Welcome address by Dr. Rohit Koul Director and C.E.O of People's Hut Foundation where he welcomed all the dignitaries and awardees. A session on "Importance of Values and Ethics in Healthcare Profession" was taken by Dr. Priyanka Koushal who is a Registrar in the Department of Surgery, GMC Jammu. Another session was taken by Dr. Vikas Padha who is a Senior Joint Replacement Surgeon at SMVD Naryana Hospital Katra where he briefed about "How can Healthcare Professionals support Humanitarian Workers working in the domain of Healthcare" This was followed by an immaculate award ceremony that honoured doctors for their dedicated services in social service and health sectors.
The awardees of "Vishisht Swasthya Sewa Sammaan Puruskar 2024" included Dr. Priyanka Koushal, Dr. Sreejan Sharma, Dr. Sawant Singh, Dr. Sanjogita Soodan, Dr. Sumedha Mengi, Dr. Vikas Padha, Dr. Sandeep Singh, Dr. Harleen Kaur, Dr. Meena Sidhu and Dr. Ishan Koushal who were extremely happy and joyous at the recognition of their efforts and hard work at such a prestigious level.
Guest of Honour Dr. A.S Bhatia delivered an inspiring speech in which he praised the commitment and hard work of the medical community saying, "Dedicated doctors like today's winners are responsible for the continuous growth and development of India. I would like to extend special thanks to Team People's Hut Foundation and Diva International Foundation for celebrating the sheer hard work and perseverance of Healthcare providers.
