Bovine smuggling bid foiled, 25 bovine animals rescued | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 10: Jammu police tightening its noose against bovine smugglers under operation Kamdhenu Police team of Police Post Nehru Market has foiled one bovine smuggling attempt in which 25 bovines were rescued. During naka checking duty at Bikram chowk naka, Police party of PP Nehru market intercepted one truck bearing registration no JK-13E -4142 and during checking found 25 bovine animals loaded in merciless manner without food and fodder without any valid permission for transportation of bovine animals. The driver of the vehicle managed to flee away from the spot taking the advantage of darkness but one person namely Mohd Ladi S/O Abdul Rashid R/O Sikanderpur, Bishnah was apprehended on the spot. In this regard, cognizance has been taken as FIR No. 12/2025 of PS Gandhinagar under relevant Sections and all the bovine animals rescued and investigation of the case started. General public have appreciated the continuous and strict actions of police against Bovine smugglers. |
