| GDC Khour celebrates National Youth Day | | |  Early Times Report
KHOUR, Jan 11: To commemorate Swami Vivekanand Ji's birth anniversary as National Youth Day, the NSS Unit of the Govt. Degree College Khour organized various events like speech, poem recitation and painting competition. It is pertinent to mention that every year the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports celebrate National Youth Festival (#NYF2025) to encourage youth of the Country to channelize their energy in shaping the bright future of the Country. This year the festival has been celebrated under the theme "Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue". NSS Volunteers namely Simran, Mansi, Sakshi and Bindu recited poems on this occasion while Bhavana Sharma gave speech on the life and multi aspects of philosophy of Swami Vivekanand. Whereas Vaishali, Tania and Chetna made paintings on the topic. The whole proceeding of the event was carried out by Diljit Singh, NSS Volunteer of 6th Semester. Prof. Dr. T.K. Sharma, Principal of the College in his brief address emphasize on the importance and the need of celebrating National Youth Day in present perspective to imbibe the youth with the teachings of Swami Vivekanand so that they can keep the national interest at paramount. The whole event was organized by Prof. Himanshu Khajuria, NSS PO. Prof. Jozafeen Afzal, Dr. Seema Sudan, Dr. Anjana Sharma, Dr. Chetan Sharma, Prof. Khalid Sajad Bohra, Prof. Shivani Sharma and Prof. Sunil Kumar witnessed the whole proceedings of the event. |
