Habitual criminal booked under Public Safety Act by J&K police Kathua

KATHUA, Jan 11: J&K Police Kathua under the overall supervision of SSP Kathua Sh. Shobhit Saksena IPS apprehended 01 Notorious/ Habitual Criminal who was involved in different cases at PS Hiranagar, PS Rajbagh, PS Ghagwal, & PS Nagrota and booked under Public Safety Act 1978( PSA).
On dated 11/01/2025 Police team led by SHO P/S Hiranagar under the supervision of SDPO Border apprehended one habitual criminal/drug peddler/ Bovine Smuggler namely Maskeen Ali @Bantu S/o Lal Hussain R/o Ward No. 13 Rakh Sarkar Plahai Tehsil Hiranagar District Kathua who is habitual criminal involved in various bovine smuggling activities as well as other heinous Cases registered at PS Hiranagar vide FIR No's 34/2019 U/S 8/21/22/NDPS Act, FIR No. 188/2022 U/S 188/IPC 11PCA Act of PS Hiranagar, FIR No. 158/2019 U/S 323/341/382 IPC of PS Rajbagh, FIR No. 23/2021 U/S 188/IPC 11/PCA Act of PS Ghagwal, & FIR No. 398/2021 U/S 188/IPC, 11 PCA Act of PS Nagrota respectively. In order to prevent the illegal activities within the district, "Dossier" was prepared against the accused person and sent to the District Magistrate Kathua for his detention under Public Safety Act- 1978 (PSA). Accordingly District Magistrate Kathua issued a detention warrant against the accused person under the Public Safety Act 1978. Accordingly, the warrant has been executed today and he has been lodged in Central Kot-Bhalwal Jail Jammu to curtail his illegal activities.
