Samba Police foiled two bovine smuggling bids | | | Early Times Report
Samba, Jan 17: Continuing its drive against bovine smugglers and their propagators, Samba Police has foiled two more bovine smuggling attempts in the jurisdiction of Police Station Samba, rescued twenty one bovines from the clutches of bovine smugglers and seized two vehicles used for illegal transportation of bovines. A Police team headed by Incharge Police Post Supwal of PS Samba while performing vehicle checking duty at naka Supwal, intercepted a truck bearing registration No. JK02BK-7834 for checking. During checking of the vehicle, sixteen bovines were found laden inside which were tied in a cruel manner and were being transported illegally without any valid permission. All the rescued bovines have been shifted to a safer place. A case FIR No. 19/2025 U/S 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at PS Samba and investigation started. Similarly in another incident, a Police team headed by Incharge Police Post Rakh Amb Talli intercepted a Mahindra vehicle bearing without registration No. for its checking at naka Rakh Amb Talli and rescued five bovines which were being transported illegally without any valid permission. A case FIR No. 21/2025 u/s 223 BNS, 11 PCA Act has been registered at Police Station Samba and investigation started. |
