Early Times Report SUNDERBANI, Jan 21: The NSS Unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Sunderbani, in collaboration with Traffic Police Rural Jammu, hosted a seminar-cum-extension lecture on "Sadak Suraksha, Jeevan Suraksha" to mark National Road Safety Month (January 1-31, 2025). Dr. G.L. Sharma, SSP Traffic, served as the keynote speaker and emphasized the critical importance of adhering to traffic rules to ensure road safety. He addressed key aspects such as following speed limits, wearing seat belts and helmets, avoiding distractions like mobile phones, and promoting pedestrian safety. Principal Dr. Ashu Vashisht motivated students to act as responsible citizens and highlighted the youth's role in spreading road safety awareness. The session witnessed active participation from 120 students, faculty, and staff, engaging in meaningful discussions on road safety challenges. The event began with a welcome address by Dr. Faheem-ul-Haq and concluded with a vote of thanks by NSS Program Officer Dr. Manjeet Singh. |
