Early Times Report VIJAYPUR, Jan 21: Government Degree College (GDC) Vijaypur, as part of its week-long Republic Day celebrations, organized a pledge-taking event under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan. The event aimed to spread awareness about the alarming rise of drug addiction, particularly among the youth, and its detrimental impact on individuals, families, and society. The pledge was administered by Dr. Anoop Kumar Bhagat, Nodal Officer of the Abhiyaan, who highlighted the importance of educational institutions in preventing substance abuse and promoting healthy lifestyles. Principal Prof. (Dr.) Vandana Verma encouraged students and faculty to actively work toward creating a drug-free society. Senior faculty members, including Prof. Mamta Gupta, Prof. Ritu Bhagat, Prof. Poonam Kundan, Dr. Manoj Heer, Dr. Naseem Chowdhary, and Prof. Meetu Sharma, supported the initiative. The event was coordinated by Dr. Gunjeet Mahiwal, Dr. Priyanka Ganjoo, Dr. Anjana Raina, Prof. Madhu Bala, and Prof. Manisha.
