Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 21: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu inaugurated a unique trekking-based Management Development Programme (MDP) for NTPC's young leaders at the Prahalad Classroom on January 21, 2025. Designed to enhance leadership skills through experiential learning, the program runs from January 20 to January 23, 2025, in the scenic lower Himalayas. The inaugural ceremony, attended by Prof. B. S. Sahay, Director of IIM Jammu, featured a traditional lamp-lighting. Prof. Sahay highlighted the importance of lifelong learning, self-reliance, and the Institute's role in fostering excellence. He urged participants to leverage the program for personal and professional transformation. The program includes trekking-based activities that focus on leadership, team building, sustainability, conflict resolution, strategic thinking, and mastering communication. Dr. Anuja Akhouri, Program Chair, welcomed participants and emphasized the alignment of the program with NTPC's leadership goals, while Dr. Pratik Maheshwari, Co-Chairperson (EE&C), detailed the innovative curriculum.
