Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 21: J&K Religious Tourism, Culture & Heritage in collaboration with Talented Writers' Forum, J&K organized a Multilingual Kavi Durbar on the theme 'Sant- Sipahi Dashmesh Pita Guru Gobind Singh Ji', dedicated to Prakash Utsav of Sri Guru Gobind Singh Ji today at the residence of Sh. Rajesh Bittu, Chairman, J&K Religious Tourism, Culture & Heritage (JKRTCH). Smt. Purnima Sharma, Ex- Dy. Mayor, JMC; Dr. Baljt Singh Raina, President PLS-J; Vicky Mahajan; Comrade Gurdeep Singh; Kirat Singh, Kuldeep Singh; and Gara Motton were present in the presidium. The programme was attended by the writers, poets and the local people of all religions. The programme started with the welcome address by Sh. Rajesh Bittu, Chairman, JKRTCH. Speaking on this occasion he recalled that his mother used to remember the martyrdom of Char Sahibjadas and Gurus. That spirit filled in him to respect all religions by heart. The well known poets of the region of different local languages/ dialects like Punjabi, Dogri, Hindi etc. presented their poems on the themes of life, principles of Sikhism and teachings Sikh Gurus. The poets who recited their poetry included Suraj Rattan, Jang S. Verman, M S Nirala, Rajat Mathur, Dheeeraj Bismal, S S Chouvalvi, Rajpaul Singh Mastana, H S Uppal, Star Singh, Balwinder Deep, Dr. Baljeet Raina and Swami Anter Nirav. The poets and special guests were honoured by the organizers on this occasion. Speaking on this occasion Sh. Bittu appreciated the poetry recited by the well known poets of the region. He said that the the teachings of Gurus and principles of Sikhism are vital in the society, in context of the need of the hour.
