NSS Unit of GDC Ramnagar hosts poster making competition | | | Early Times Report RAMNAGAR, Jan 23: As part of its 7-day special winter camp, the National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar organized a Poster Making Competition at Govt. Middle School Thaplal, the college's adopted school. The event, centered on the theme "Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao," aimed to promote awareness about the importance of educating and empowering girls. Held under the patronage of Principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand, the competition witnessed enthusiastic participation from 21 students. Through vibrant and meaningful posters, the participants showcased their creativity and commitment to the cause of saving and educating the girl child. Sohani Bhardwaj secured the first prize, followed by Krishma Bhardwaj in second place, and Kritika in third. A prize distribution ceremony was held to honor the winners, while all participants received certificates of appreciation for their commendable efforts. The event was guided by NSS Program Officer Prof. Ritika Mahajan, with support from Dr. Sunil Kumar, Convener SVEEP, ensuring its smooth execution. Refreshments were provided to the participants, adding to the celebratory atmosphere of the occasion. Speaking at the event, Principal Dr. Bhavnaish Chand emphasized, "Activities like this not only foster creativity but also instill social responsibility and teamwork. The students' enthusiasm and dedication were truly inspiring." The Poster Making Competition is part of the NSS unit's broader initiatives to engage with the adopted school and promote community welfare.
