Udhampur police conducts awareness programmes on new criminal laws

UDHAMPUR, Jan 23: As part of its initiative to educate the public about newly introduced criminal laws, District Police Udhampur organized informative sessions at Government Degree College (GDC) Ramnagar, HSS Khoon, Majalta, and in the towns of Chenani and Kud. At GDC Ramnagar, the session was led by SDPO Ramnagar, Manjeet Singh, and PSI Yogeshwar. The interactive session highlighted the key features of the new criminal laws and their implications for the criminal justice system. Students actively participated, engaging in discussions on how these laws aim to strengthen legal frameworks and enhance law enforcement. A similar awareness programme was conducted at HSS Khoon, Majalta, where PSI Gaurav Slathia guided students through the significance of the new laws. The session emphasized the importance of understanding these regulations to foster a more informed, responsible, and law-abiding society. Additionally, awareness sessions were held in Chenani and Kud to ensure the wider community was informed about the changes and their potential impact. These initiatives by Udhampur Police aim to promote legal literacy and empower citizens with knowledge about the criminal justice system, contributing to a safer and more informed society.
