Discusses key issues, submits suggestions for upcoming budget | ASSOCHAM delegation meets Omar Abdullah | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 23: A delegation from the ASSOCHAM J&K Council, led by its Chairman, Manik Batra, along with Co-Chairman Bhupesh Gupta met with the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, to discuss key issues and present a comprehensive representation aimed at fostering economic growth and development in the region. During the meeting, the delegation highlighted several critical concerns and proposals, including, Change of Land Use for Industrial Growth, Electricity Amnesty Scheme for Industrial Units, development of Tourism Circuit in Jammu region, establishment of more warehousing and fulfillment centers in Jammu, Conversion of Leasehold to Freehold, Introduction of Infrastructure/Commercial Projects under J&K Incentives and many more. The Chief Minister expressed his appreciation for ASSOCHAM's proactive approach in addressing the challenges faced by the business and industrial community. He assured the delegation that the government would review their proposals in detail and take necessary steps to support economic growth in the region. Speaking on the occasion, Manik Batra stated, "Our discussions with the Honorable Chief Minister were fruitful, and we are optimistic that our recommendations will lead to impactful policy decisions for the benefit of J&K's industrial and commercial sectors." Bhupesh Gupta reiterated the council's commitment to working closely with the government to ensure the successful implementation of these proposals. "ASSOCHAM is dedicated to creating a conducive environment for businesses to thrive in Jammu & Kashmir," he said.
