Poonch launches Swachhtantra Campaign

POONCH, Jan 24: The District Administration Poonch, in collaboration with the Municipal Council, successfully organized a Mega Swachhtantra Campaign today, aimed at fostering community engagement in cleanliness and environmental sustainability.
The event took place at Parade Park and featured a variety of engaging activities, including a Painting Competition, Signature Campaign and Ploughing Drive conducted by the Municipal Council.
The Forest Department initiated a plantation drive themed “Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam,” encouraging citizens to actively contribute to their environment.
Students from different educational institutions actively participated in the Painting Competition, showcasing their artistic talents. Assistant Commissioner Revenue Qadeer Ul Rehaman was the Chief Guest. He distributed bags and swachhata kits among educational institutions, instilling a sense of responsibility towards cleanliness among the youth. The event witnessed participation from notable figures, including President of the Bar Association, Sunil Sharma; Floriculture Officer, Sanjeev Sharma; President Beopar Mandal; Sunil Gupta, Rajeev Tandon, Paramjeet Singh, President VHP, Nishu Gupta, City President NC Poonch, Dr. Sukhvinder Singh, Advocate Iftkar Bazmi; Advocate Mohinder Payasa; Advocate Rajinder Singh (PP); prominent citizens; and many others, all uniting for a cleaner and greener Poonch.
