Crime Branch books teacher, former PHC employee
Fake Qualification Certificates

Jammu, Jan 24: Crime Branch (CB) has booked a Teacher and an Ex-PHE employee for getting government jobs by using fake qualification certificates.
In a statement here a CB spokesman said, “ A written complaint was received in Crime Branch (EOW) Jammu from complainant namely Sonu Kumar S/o Durga Dass R/o Kurlian Tehsil Kalakote, District Rajouri alleging therein that one Gulzar Hussain S/o Mohammad Abdullah R/o Dhalyote, Tehsil Kalakote in District Rajouri got appointed as a Teacher in Govt Primary School Nadan Khetar under Education Zone Kalakote District Rajouri on the basis of fake qualification certificate thereby causing loss to the government exchequer. During the course of criminal verification the enquiry officer established on the report of concerned authority of the concerned institute that the qualification certificate in question is not genuine.”
“Another written complaint was received at Police Station Crime Branch (EOW) Jammu from complainant namely Zaffar Din S/o Hussain Din R/o Bain Bajalta Jammu alleging therein that the employee of Jal Shakti PHE Mech. Rural Division, Jammu namely Ghulam Rasool S/o Mir Din R/o Bain Bajalta, Jammu got regularized in service on the basis of production of fake qualification certificate and he managed to work in the Jal Shakti (PHE) Mech. Rural Division, Jammu thereby causing loss to government exchequer. During the course of preliminary enquiry, the Enquiry Officer sought genuineness of qualification certificate in respect of Ghulam Rasool (now retired) from the head of the concerned Institute who communicated that the said qualification certificate is not genuine,” the statement said.
Senior Superintendent of Police Crime Jammu, Benam Tosh confirmed that two cases viz. case FIR No. 09/2025 and case FIR No. 10//2025 have been registered at P/S EOW, Crime Branch Jammu for in-depth investigation, as the contents of the complaints and preliminary verification reports prima-facie revealed commission of cognizable offences.
