JAMMU, JAN 31: Additional District Magistrate Ansuya Jamwal today conducted an extensive visit to the Baba Ballo Ji Shrine Mathwar to assess and review the preparedness and arrangements for conduct of the Basant Panchami Utsav Annual Function at Devsthan Mathwar on February 2.During the visit, ADM Jamwal inspected the facilities within the shrine complex, such as water and power supply for facilitating devotees during the Mela. She directed the concerned departments to ensure uninterrupted services and to address any infrastructural shortcomings promptly.The ADM reviewed security arrangements, instructing the Police Department to deploy sufficient personnel to manage crowd control and ensure the safety of pilgrims. She also highlighted the importance of medical facilities on-site and inspected emergency response preparations.Furthermore, she assessed sanitation measures stressing the need for cleanliness in and around the shrine premises.ADM Ansuya Jamwal assured all that the district administration is committed to providing all necessary support to ensure the Mela's success.Sub Divisional Magistrate Athar Amin Zargar, Tehsildar Bhalwal Monika Sharma besides other concerned officers were present during the visit. Head priest Pandit Yash Paul Sharma also blessed the officers and hoped for successful conduct of the festival.
The Baba Ballo Ji Shrine, located approximately 35 kilometers from Jammu city in Mathwar village, holds significant religious importance and attracts thousands of devotees, especially during the Basant Panchami Mela.
