SJVN organized TB Elimination Awareness Session & Ni-Kshay Shivir

SHIMLA, Feb 4: SJVN organized an Awareness Session & Ni-Kshay Shivir (Screening Camp) at its Corporate Headquarters, Shimla as part of the 100-Day Intensified Campaign on TB Elimination initiated by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. Executive Director (HR), Sh. Chandra Shekhar Yadav and other senior officials were present to support the initiative. The session and Ni-Kshay Shivir (Screening Camp) were aimed at spreading awareness on TB prevention amongst contractual workers deployed by contractors at Corporate Headquarters, Shimla and emphasized on the need to assess risks and benefits of treatment for latent TB infection. This shall also encourage early diagnosis and facilitate preventive treatment. A five-member Team, including Dr. Vineet Lakhanpal District TB Officer from Shimla, Medical Officer and other paramedical staff conducted screening and consultation sessions. During the Screening camp, contractual staff and their family members received free medical consultation and treatment. In alignment with the National TB Elimination Programme and vision of TB-Mukt Bharat outlined by Hon'ble Prime Minister Sh. Narendra Modi, SJVN organised Ni-Kshay Shapath and will be organising TB Awareness Sessions.
