JAMMU, Feb 4: Govt. Degree College Celebrated World Cancer Day. The world Cancer day is celebrated on 04th Feb. every year to spread awareness about Cancer and of early detection and screening as well as prevention and cure.
In this programme Dr. Rajesh Singh Bhau, Oncologist Government Medical College, Jammu was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Rajesh Singh Bhau informed the students & faculty members about different types of Cancer, causes of the deceases, its various symptoms and its prevention & cure by adopting healthy habits. He also advised the students to spread awareness about Cancer through Posters, Lectures, discussions etc.
More than 100 students along with college staff participate in the event. The whole programme was organised by NCC Unit, NSS and Department of History, GDC Paloura under the able guidance of Dr. Kulvinder Kour, Principal GDC Paloura. |
