Early Times Report JAMMU, Feb 4: The Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Jammu, under the leadership of Director Prof. B.S. Sahay, inaugurated a unique Trekking-Based Management Development Programme (MDP) for young leaders from National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC). The three-day program, running from February 3 to 5, 2025, aims to enhance leadership skills through experiential learning in the scenic lower Himalayas. The inauguration ceremony took place at the Prahalad Classroom and was marked by a traditional lamp-lighting ceremony, attended by Dr. Ateeque Shaikh, Chairperson of Executive Education and Consultancy (EE&C), Dr. Yashoda Devi, Program Director, and Dr. Prakrit Silal, Program Director, IIM Jammu. The program features seven curated sessions designed to foster resilience, teamwork, and strategic thinking. Participants engaged in trekking and other outdoor activities, gaining insights into leadership, sustainability, conflict resolution, negotiation, intrapreneurship, and digital transformation. Dr. Ateeque Shaikh emphasized IIM Jammu's rapid growth and commitment to excellence in academics, research, and executive education. He also highlighted key programs, including collaborations with AIIMS Jammu for an MBA in Hospital Administration & Healthcare Management and a Dual Degree Program with IIT Jammu. Welcoming the participants, Dr. Yashoda Devi underscored the program's alignment with NTPC's leadership goals, focusing on experiential learning to develop future-ready leaders. Dr. Prakrit Silal concluded the event with a vote of thanks, encouraging attendees to leverage the program's insights for professional growth. |
