JAMMU, Feb 4: In a commendable operation, Jammu and Kashmir Police (JKP) successfully traced and reunited two missing women with their families in the Gharota area. On October 29, 2024, and January 20, 2025, separate complaints regarding the missing women were received at Police Station (PS) Gharota.
The missing reports were lodged as follows: (Name Withheld), R/o Jammu, missing report entered under DDR No. 28 dated October 29, 2024. (Name Withheld), R/o Jammu, missing report entered under DDR No. 16 dated January 20, 2025.
During the investigation, a police team from PS Gharota, under the supervision of SHO Gharota, conducted extensive efforts and utilized technical assistance to successfully locate and recover both women.
After completing all legal formalities, the missing women were safely handed over to their legal guardians, and both missing reports were formally closed. The swift and efficient response of JKP has been widely appreciated by the general public, reinforcing trust in the police force's dedication to ensuring public safety and swift action in such cases. |
