| GRDS to Organize Shoba Yatra on February 9 | | |  Early Times Report
Jammu, Feb 4: The All J&K Shree Guru Ravidass Sabha (AJ&KGRDS) is all set to organize a grand Shoba Yatra (Nagar Kirtan) on February 9, 2025, in honor of the 648th Prakash Divas of Shree Guru Ravidass Ji Maharaj. This significant religious event will commence from Krishna Nagar Headquarters and culminate at Bahu Fort Branch Gurudwara.
The decision to organize the Shoba Yatra was finalized in a series of General House Meetings held on December 29, January 5, and January 30. The Sabha, which recently resolved a nine-year-long internal dispute, formed an Adhoc Body to oversee the preparations for Prakash Divas and conduct Sabha elections in a time-bound manner.
Route and Arrangements
The Shoba Yatra will commence at 11 AM from Krishna Nagar Gurudwara and follow this route:
• Guru Ravidass Chowk (Jewel Chowk) → Below Gummat → Indira Chowk → Shalamar Chowk → Secretariat Rotary → City Chowk → Raghunath Bazar → Vivekanand Chowk → Gujjar Nagar Tawi Bridge → Bahu Fort Gurudwara (culmination at approximately 2:30 – 3:00 PM).
Devotees from all corners of Jammu and Kashmir, including Udhampur-Nagrota, Samba-Vijaypur-Bari Brahmana, Bishnah-RS Pura, and Nowshera-Akhnoor sector, will participate in the Yatra, forming tableaux and traveling on foot and in personal vehicles. |
